The West Maricopa County Bar Association (WMCBA) is a group of attorneys, judges and legal professionals, with diverse interests, backgrounds and specialties, working together for the residents and businesses of the West Valley. We believe that those who live and work in the West Valley prefer to patronize local merchants and professionals for the convenience it affords, and to support their neighbors and communities.
WMCBA is an adjunct of the Maricopa County Bar Association. Our boundaries include all of Maricopa County west of Interstate 17. While the make-up of our organization encompasses a substantial geographical and population base, it includes a relatively small, but rapidly growing, number of members. Unlike the ‘mega-firms’ common in other parts of town, most of our members practice individually or in smaller “boutique-type” firms, providing much needed services for West Valley residents and businesses.
The WMCBA was originally conceived as a means of providing West Valley residents and workers a ‘Greater-Voice’ in the activities of the Arizona legal community. As such, we endeavor to promote the interests of particular concern to the West Valley and attempt to make our services — as well as those of the court system — more easily accessible to our client base.
Our activities include a Monthly Speakers Luncheon, Continuing Legal Education (CLE), Board Meetings, and Community Outreach, all of which are designed to help meet the specific needs of the West Valley.
